In #Adelaide the team are attending the ACA Talk “Unsettling Country”; in #Melbourne "Adventures in Designing with Country" at the The Launchpad ; in #Brisbane "First Night: BLAK DAY OUT" King St, Bowen Hills; in #Sydney "Aboriginal Cultural Tour" at The Cutaway Barangaroo, and in #Newcastle will be attending the pop-up choir in Museum Park to sing Warumpi Band's famous anthem, "Blackfella/Whitefella"!
We are also thrilled to share that our #ReflectRAP received official endorsement from Reconciliation Australia earlier this month. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication of our RAP Working Group in spearheading our journey towards reconciliation.
The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2024, #NowMoreThanEver, is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will – and must – continue.
About the artwork: The National Reconciliation Week 2024 design and artwork represent the momentum of the theme "Now More Than Ever." The chevron, a universal symbol for pointing the way, signifies advancing as one as we look towards a reconciled future. The vibrant artwork of Gubbi Gubbi artist Maggie Douglas encourages connecting with one another, understanding, and continuing to move forward. The 2024 theme design incorporating the artwork is by Carbon Creative.
