Michael Hegarty

Principal Architect | Chief Executive

Michael is an award winning registered architect, with over 30 years experience having led architecture practices in the UK, the UAE, Ireland and Australia.

Specialising in complex facilities, Michael designed the 28 storey Hyatt Regency Adelaide in 2019 and multiple hospitals including the initial site selection and conceptual design with clinical blocking and stacking associated with the initial business case for the $1.3B new Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide in 2018.

Michael also undertook the terminal benchmarking work associated with the new Western Sydney Airport in 2016-17 and led masterplans for Adelaide Bio-Medical Precinct 2017,and North Terrace Cultural Precinct 2014.

Michael was awarded the Royal Society for the Arts award for Art and Architecture in 2001.

Michael is an acknowledged architecture industry leader and is active at state and national levels with the Australian Institute of Architects and the Association of Consulting Architects. He is a member of the South Australia state design review panel.
