Oakleigh Recreational Centre

The complex holds simple and bold monochromatic colour schemes and a strong geometric internal graphic to reflect external dynamic feature screen.

ARCH has been part of the redevelopment that will transform the existing Oakleigh Recreation Centre.

This outstanding multi-purpose sports precinct features five new indoor basketball courts (also catering for netball and volleyball), an improved gym and group fitness areas with state of the art AV system and the conversion of the existing stadium to a state-level gymnastics facility for the Waverley Gymnastics Club. You will also see the dynamic feature screen that ties the new and existing stadiums together and provides pedestrian wayfinding between entrances.

This is the biggest and complex project undertaken by Monash Council in more than 20 years to provide a state of the art fitness complex.

The complex holds simple and bold monochromatic colour schemes and a strong geometric internal graphic to reflect external dynamic feature screen.  The building utilises a fabric first approach, grey water recycling system and solar panels to achieve a sustainable and efficient building.
