Claire Brookman
Senior Architect | Associate
With over 20 years industry experience Claire Brookman is an Associate Design Director who specialises in Community Architecture ranging from Hospitals, Health Care Facilities, Sport Centres and Zoo Architecture. Her experience ranges from masterplanning, concept design, design development through to construction documentation, leading and coordinating consultant teams.
Recently she has completed the 40 new Exhibit designs of Taronga’s new Amphibian + Reptile Conservation Centre, interweaving meaning and complexity into buildings which tell a story for future generations to read at various levels or interpretation. Demonstrating she can manage and understand complex issues and work systematically to resolve them to obtain the best outcome for projects. Claire’s exemplary design skills are displayed through her talent for graphic design, with sketching and revit based documentation. Where she confidently communicates ideas to clients whilst maintaining an empathetic insight to the needs and briefing of the projects and clients.
Claire is a cooperative agent for the benefit of the project. Capable of working independently, she especially enjoys working cooperatively with coworkers, clients and consultants to achieve the best possible outcomes. Truly believing that by working together a much greater outcome can be achieved. Clare's an advocate for animal conservation and sustainability principles, she is always looking for ways to be innovative and creative. Claire loves to create immersive environments, Whether they are for educational purposes or for creating healing environments. There is so much that architecture can contribute to create a better world for all creatures.
