The architectural design philosophy from the outset of the project has been to ensure that the building, in it’s two parts (Office and Hotel) presents as an integrated design solution. Accordingly the proportions of the framed façade to the office were reflected in the hotel’s setback to the upper levels of the façade above the street level podium in the extrusion of the protruding hotel room pods. This offered a diversity to the spaces within the hotel and also reflected the form that is presented within the office component of the whole building. Whilst there are clearly two functions within this complex our intent is to provide a consistency of design approach over the whole.
