RDX – Research & Development Centre of Excellence
The Gold Coast's design culture comes to life in the RDX. This stunning architectural masterpiece showcases the region's innovative construction techniques and diverse architectural language.
This $154 million 6-Star Green Star Centre of Excellence building will be located on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The 9 storey building with 3 basement levels will house best-in-class medical research, training, and clinical facilities, including a world-first Image-Guided Surgical Training and Technologies Centre.
When complete it will be dedicated to research and training, including supporting radiology and interventional cardiology innovation, specialised rehabilitation clinical services, and a Phase 1 human clinical trials unit.
The building will also provide high-quality specialist medical consulting suites and collaboration spaces, catering for partial and whole-floor uses with tenancies. It is situated close to the Gold Coast University Hospital, and Griffith University, and will have a bridge link to the Gold Coast Private Hospital. The basement levels include 180 car parking bays, with EV charging stations provided, and EOT facilities with 95 bicycle racks.RDX is targeting a 6-Star Green Star rating using the Green Star Design & As-Built v1.3 rating tool for the base building.
