Hurstville Civic Precinct Masterplan

ARCH's commission for this urban design project required brief development, massing and financial assessment of options leading to a preferred plan to deliver a financially balanced outcome.

The masterplan took into account the client’s aspiration that community facilities, performance spaces, council chambers, library, plaza and art gallery will be funded in exchange for the release of council land for the development of apartments, retail, commercial, mixed use and car parking.

The commission involved extensive Councillor workshops, community consultation and the development with planners and financial advisors to achieve a viable masterplan which included Local Environment Plan and Development Control Plan amendments
