Bolton Clarke engaged ARCH as both architect and interior designer for their first Victorian retirement community, Europa on Alma in St Kilda.
Through inspired and intelligent design Europa on Alma’s apartments and community spaces effortlessly cater for the needs of an ageing cohort who want age-appropriate options that allow them to continue to live in and engage with their community.

Europa on Alma incorporates 81 one, two and three-bedroom apartments surrounding a landscaped courtyard. The design promotes a community with a difference, focusing on independence and well-being in a luxurious, contemporary hotel-style environment.

Shared spaces include a soaring multi-purpose entry foyer with mezzanine walkway, a dining area and bar opening onto the central courtyard, library, cinema, gym, arts and crafts room, rooftop recreation room and community gardens.

Europa on Alma makes it easy to lead an active, social lifestyle in communal areas while maintaining privacy and independence.
