Avenues Early Learning Centre Paddington
An inspiring multipurpose space for the greater community to enjoy
Avenues Early Learning Centre engaged ARCH for architectural services to support their continued expansion in the Brisbane Region. The Paddington development consists of 160 places provided over two levels, plus a basement carpark. The project includes the adaptive reuse of an existing heritage listed church, which is transformed into an inspiring multipurpose space for the greater community to enjoy. ARCH’s design retains the charm of the original historical church and places it at the centre of the facility.
Our client’s ambitious brief for this centre is to set a new benchmark for excellence in childcare facilities. ARCH worked hand in hand with the client, formulating the complex brief that challenges the typical conventions of childcare centre architecture and fitout. Our design response purposefully incorporates early learning pedagogy meshed with the built form. The interactive library, sensory gardens and multipurpose dance studio are examples of this visionary approach to early learning.
