Edition Apartments is part of a vibrant mixed-use development stitching the Honeysuckle Precinct to the urban fabric of Newcastle. The development provides a striking, high-quality residential model for inner-city living, setting a dynamic benchmark and framework for Newcastle’s future mixed-use active urban communities.

The brief for the apartment building was to create a space that not only provides comfort with quality finishes and fixtures but also establishes a strong connection to the prestigious harbour front location. At street level, a strong podium form frames an engaging public space, providing texture, tactility, and refinement at a human scale. Inspired by the masonry references of the area’s industrial past, we designed a development with two distinct towers that float above a carved brick podium and landscaped concourse.

The residential tower, with its angled balconies, announces its prominent corner position, breaking up the mass of the built form and providing a sense of movement and modulation of the façade. The apartment space planning offers open plan living with generous outdoor balconies that connect inside and outside, offering excellent harbour views.
