BAE Systems Lead-in Fighter Facility
Highly engineered building for highly engineered aircraft
ARCH designed this Lead-In Fighter Contractor Support Facility to provide hangar space, workshops, stores and administrative offices for BAE Systems.
The new 8,000sqm facility is used for the initial assembly and long term maintenance of the Hawk-127 training aircraft.
The facility is located adjacent to Newcastle airport and shares runway facilities with the Williamtown RAAF Base. A taxiway link between the new building to the main runway allows direct access by aircraft.
ARCH has provided ongoing architectural services to the project for additional buildings on site and additions to the existing building.
