David Carstens

Associate

David has over 17 years of experience in the healthcare sector and holds a degree in architectural technology. Throughout his career, David has been actively involved in the planning and coordination of projects. His project experience spans a diverse range of scales, from small, single-unit MRI suites to large-scale teaching and specialist hospitals. He worked on the Children's Hospital at Westmead as the lead clinical planner, overseeing departments such as Neonatal Intensive Care, Paediatric Intensive Care, and the Integrated Interventional and Perioperative Service (surgical) departments, as well as the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. He has also worked on regional projects including Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment and Stage 3 of the Muswellbrook Hospital Redevelopment.

David has worked internationally, starting his career in London, where he contributed to the Springwell Centre Mental Health Facility and the Royal Brompton Biomedical Research Centre, among others. He possesses in-depth technical knowledge and is an experienced communicator with clients, stakeholders, and sub-consultants, consistently responding beyond expectations.

David is passionate about healthcare and creating environments that promote healing.
