Carolina Torres is a registered architect and wellness-informed designer with nearly two decades of expertise in healthcare, aged care, and mental health design across Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America. As Senior Architect and Associate at ARCH, she brings a unique blend of evidence-based design principles and human-centred approach to create environments that promote healing, functionality, and long-term sustainability.
Carolina has led planning and design for major health infrastructure projects including Knox Private Hospital, Hervey Bay Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and master plans for Tauranga and Christchurch Hospitals. Her expertise extends to international projects, including work in Malaysia. Her strengths lie in stakeholder engagement, clinical planning, and early-stage project strategy, contributing to successful bids, user group facilitation, and concept design reporting.
Beyond traditional project delivery, she supports clients in optimising internal environments, from daily structures and work-life design to spaces that enhance clarity, vitality, and balance. Her technical proficiency with Revit, Enscape, and dRofus ensures design precision while maintaining focus on user engagement and sustainable outcomes.
